Ticket information

Online tickets are cheaper than at the box office.

Types of tickets:

  • Standard: Visitors aged 15–64
  • Reduced: Children aged 2–14, students up to 26 with a valid ID, people with disabilities (PWD, PWD/RC), and seniors 65+
  • Family 2+2: 2 adults + 2 children or 1 adult + 3 children
  • Family 2+3: 2 adults + 3 children
  • Child under 2 years – free
  • Disabled visitor (PWD/RC) – assistant free of charge

 

  • When purchasing a reduced, PWD, or PWD/RC ticket, you must show a photo ID to the staff.
  • Tickets can be purchased online, or alternatively in cash or by card at the ticket office.
  • We do not accept Benefit cards.
  • The ticket is valid for a single entry only.
  • The visit duration is not limited during opening hours, but re-entry is not allowed.
Opening hours
  • The light exhibition is open daily from November 5, 2025, to January 11, 2026.
  • The exhibition is closed on December 24 and December 31.
  • The opening hours of the Light Park are from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
  • The last entry is at 8:30 PM
How to get to us?

Pardubice Castle is located in the city center at the confluence of the Labe and Chrudimka rivers. It is easily accessible on foot from both the train and bus stations. Pardubice has an extensive public transportation network. To reach the castle, you can use the stops Náměstí Republiky, U Grandu, or Krajský úřad and continue on foot through Pernštýnské Square and Pernštýnská Street.

Parking

For parking, we recommend using Bělobranské Square, U Stadionu Street, or the Grand Parking House.

Dogs welcome

Dogs are welcome. Even if your four-legged friend is well-behaved, for the consideration of other visitors, dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle. Don’t forget the poop bags!

Photography is allowed.

Taking photos or filming videos within the Story of Lights exhibition is allowed free of charge and without any restrictions. On the contrary, we would be happy if you tag us on social media #storyoflights @storyoflightscesko.

We will be happy to share your creations on our profiles. Flying drones is strictly prohibited!

Refreshments

In the area of the light exhibition, you can purchase cold and hot drinks as well as quick snacks.

Wheelchair Accessible

The exhibition is wheelchair accessible.

Restrooms

Fully equipped restrooms, including facilities for disabled visitors, are available in both the large and small courtyards of the Castle.

Drones and scooters are prohibited.

For safety reasons, flying drones or riding electric scooters is prohibited within the exhibition.

Visitor Rules

Obligations of visitors to the premises:

  • To enter the premises, only the main entrance may be used. Tickets can be purchased directly on site in cash or by credit card, or on the official event website.
  • Entry to the premises at your own risk.
  • Upon entering the premises, visitors must present an original ticket with a QR code. In the case of a discounted ticket, it is necessary to provide identification with a photo (ID card, driver’s license, passport, student card, ISIC, disability card PWD or PWD/RC, etc.). Holders of a PWD/RC card are entitled to free entry including their companion.
  • Visitors are required to behave respectfully towards other visitors, not to damage or otherwise tamper with the lighting, installations, or any property within the premises or belonging to others, and to maintain cleanliness and order.
  • Every visitor is obliged to follow the visitor regulations, rules, and instructions of the organizer, security or safety personnel, firefighters, medical staff, etc. In case of non-compliance, the organizer reserves the right to immediately remove undisciplined visitors from the park without compensation.
  • Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children upon entering the premises and throughout the entire visit.
  • Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult (parent, guardian, or teacher) throughout the entire visit to the park. Parents or the accompanying adult or teacher are responsible for children and minors during the entire visit, even if children over the age of 15 remain in the park on their own.
  • Children’s groups must have at least one adult supervisor for every 10 children in the group.
  • Dogs are allowed to enter the park free of charge, but they must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle under the owner’s supervision. Animals running freely are prohibited. Owners must clean up after their pets.
  • In case of evacuation, visitors are required to follow the instructions of the organizer.
  • In case of icy conditions, please exercise increased caution. Also be aware of possible falling snow and ice from roofs, installations, or trees within the premises.

Prohibitions:

Upon entry, visitors may be subject to a security check.

It is forbidden to bring into the premises:

  • weapons of any kind, sharp objects, imitation weapons, as well as items that could be used as a weapon (including children’s toys);
  • alcohol, drugs, or other toxic substances;
  • outside drinks and food.
  • fireworks or pyrotechnics, including firecrackers, bang snaps, petards, etc.;
  • glass and pressurized containers. It is forbidden to bring weapons of any kind into the premises, as well as items that could be used as a weapon.

It is strictly forbidden to:

  • Flying a drone over the entire Light Exhibition area;
  • riding electric scooters;
  • entering areas that are not designated for visitors;
  • climbing trees or touching and otherwise tampering with the light installations;
  • damaging or destroying any equipment and facilities within the premises, including defacing items by writing on them, placing stickers, or spraying them with paint.
  • entering attractions under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
  • consuming intoxicating substances in any area of the park;
  • using open fire;
  • disposing of trash and cigarette butts outside designated areas;
  • intentionally damaging or tampering with safety or fire protection equipment, as well as water or electrical installations.

Tickets with QR codes:

  • Each visitor will receive a ticket with a unique QR code, which entitles them to enter the premises during the valid opening hours with the option to leave at any time. The ticket is single-use.
  • In case of an invalid QR code, the visitor will not be allowed to enter the premises.
  • Ticket forgery is a criminal offense.
  • Paid admission fees and service charges are non-refundable, and tickets cannot be exchanged.
  • The ticket holder agrees that photographs, films, or video recordings from the park featuring their person may be used by the organizer for documentary and promotional purposes without financial compensation.

Liability for damages and consequences of violating the visitor regulations:

  • In case of violation of the visitor regulations, the operator may claim damages caused by the visitor in accordance with the applicable legal regulations, including lost profits (e.g., event cancellation), or may impose a fine.
  • If visitors are under the influence of alcohol, they assume full responsibility for any injuries that may occur.
  • In case of a serious violation of the visitor regulations, the organizer reserves the right to ask the visitor to leave the premises.
  • The participant is obliged, at the request of the organizer or an authorized person (especially security personnel), to allow an inspection to verify compliance with the visitor regulations.
  • In case of violation of the visitor regulations, the organizer or authorized personnel are entitled to immediately remove the visitor from the premises without compensation. The visitor is obliged to leave the premises upon the request of the organizer or an authorized person.

The operator’s right to close the exhibition in case of unfavorable weather conditions:

  • In case of unfavorable weather conditions, such as strong winds, heavy rain, snowstorms, hail, or similar situations that could pose a risk of injury to visitors, the operator has the right to temporarily close the exhibition for safety reasons.
  • The organizer does not assume responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or damages, including theft or damage to visitors’ property, arising in connection with their visit to the exhibition.
  • The organizer is not responsible for injuries or accidents caused by non-compliance with these regulations, non-compliance with the rules for using the premises, or non-compliance with general safety and health regulations.
  • The organizer reserves the right to inspect items and substances brought into the exhibition area.
